Okey is a classic tile-based game with numerous variations and a long history. It is played mostly in coffee shops by people of all ages and is very well-liked in Turkey.
With the same set of boards and tiles but different rules, it is quite similar to rummy.
The Okey game is played by 4 players using a set of 106 tiles, 104 of which have 4 different colors and numbers ranging from 1 to 13. Each player’s board contains 14 tiles during the game. A player draws one tile and discards one tile during each turn.

The object of the game is to be the first to use all 14 tiles to create a board with runs and sets. Every game has unique tiles called jokers that the player can use to fill in the gaps on his 14-tile board of sets and runs.
Contrary to expectations, the final two stars-represented tiles in the 106-tile set are devious “false jokers” that function as regular numbered tiles.
When you try to win a game in the Okey game by discarding a tile to the center of the table (bank), any errors made by your groups will be indicated in red.

A tile can be flipped by tapping and holding it in place for three seconds. In the Okey game, this is typically used as a reminder of joker tiles.
